Yes, what was once land that grew some of the best tobacco in the world is now fast becoming wine country. North Carolina can now boast of having 48 major wineries located from the mountains to the sea. Most of which are located within 75 miles of my home and gallery.
The scene featured in this piece, is a view of Pilot Mountain as scene from one of those local wineries. It portrays the grapes swelling with juice as they come to their peek. At which time, they will be picked and taken to the winery for crushing and beginning the quite complicated process of turning the juice to wine.
Framed appropriately this print can make a great statement to any den, kitchen, dining room etc.
