" Granny's Rocker "
The inspiration for this sculpture came from the dying art of quilting and a beautiful double wedding ring design made by my grandmother.
I first sculpted "Granny's Rocker" in clay. From this sculpture a mold was created from which individual reproductions were cast of a pecan shell based resin. Each reproduction is individually painted; therefore, the colors may vary slightly giving each reproduction a unique character of it's own. Upon completion, I personally inspect each reproduction then sign and number each one.
The rocking chair and quilt were featured in one of my most famous limited edition prints "A Quiet Place" which was sold out long ago.
